The tracks were recorded between March 15 and 29, 2024 at the Ansible Institute at Cafe Tissardmine, Moroccan Sahara. The Ansible Institute is a transitory speculative fiction research laboratory, facilitated by Martina Raponi and [M] Dudeck.
Each track was created during so-called activation exercises with each of the participants during Expedition 2 of the Ansible Institute: [M] Dudeck, Martina Raponi, Marie-Andrée Pellerin, Brandon Gibson-DeGroote, Antoinette Dyksman, Ralo Mayer, Niki Sperou, Stanisław Welbel, and the host at Cafe Tissardmine: Karen Hadfield.

Stanisław Welbel (b. 1982, based in Warsaw) is a curator, art historian, and a musician. He plays saxophones and electronic instruments. He regularly performs with the Warsaw Improvisers Orchestra and used to play with the Warszawsko-Lubelska Orkiestra Dęta. His previous solo album Poems was published by Szara Reneta. Marie-Andrée Pellerin is a multidisciplinary artist from Montreal based in Austria. Her artistic projects deal with territories, meteorology, science fiction literature and speculative methods. She works with video, sound art, performances, as well as textile art (tufting). Her art projects are carried in site-specific contexts and residencies, through interdisciplinary collaborations with authors, musicians and scientists from different fields.
